Donations need: thread of any kind and color, good used flannel sheets or batting for the center, sheets or large amounts of material for the backing, and cotton or polyester material of any size or color to create the top.
If you have any of these items and would like to donate to this mission project, please sign the sheet in the church narthex or call Joyce Welbon at 256-3115 or place your box at the back of the Fellowship Hall and mark it “Quilting Project”.
Sewing will be the 3rd Thursday of every month. We will sew in three shifts and individuals are invited to come to any or all of the shifts. The shifts are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon; 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.; and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please feel welcome even if you do not sew/quilt. There are many tasks that are needed that do not require sewing skills. Some of these skills are cutting, pinning, ironing, choosing matching fabrics for size and color, layering the finished top with batting and quilt back, tying the layers, snipping threads and cheering, Wow!
